What EpigraphIA does for coloring books
EpigraphIA integrates the steps of a KDP coloring book workflow into modules that share the project passport. Each module writes its part and the next one reads it — no copy-pasting between apps.
- Sketcher captures the book's intent: niche, theme, audience, seed keywords.
- Image Studio generates illustrations and covers with AI (BYOK — you supply your own OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini or Replicate API keys).
- Photo Liner converts PNG, JPEG or WebP photos into coloring page line art.
- Colorizer colors the lines for marketing mockups (Amazon, social, Pinterest).
- Vectorizer converts your images to editable SVG.
- Pattern Studio generates geometric and floral patterns for backgrounds or full pages.
- Book Studio lays out the interior and the full-wrap cover, calculates the spine based on page count, and exports a 300 DPI PDF ready for KDP.
Coloring books for Amazon KDP
A coloring book for Amazon KDP is a print-on-demand book whose interior pages are black-and-white illustrations without solid shading, printed so the buyer can color them by hand. EpigraphIA covers the full workflow: concept, AI-generated pages, layout placement, margin and bleed calculation, and export of the interior PDF and full-wrap cover ready for the KDP uploader.
How it works in 7 steps
- Idea: in Sketcher you describe the book (niche, audience, theme).
- Niche: Sketcher returns seed keywords and suggests commercial angles for KDP.
- Images: in Image Studio you generate the illustrations with AI (or upload your own). In Photo Liner you convert photos into line art.
- Coloring pages: each page is saved to the project folder as a high-resolution PNG.
- Interior: in Book Studio you place pages into the layout with the trim size you pick (e.g. 8.5 × 11 in). The module applies bleed (0.125 in) and safe margins (0.25 in) automatically.
- Cover: in Image Studio you generate the cover. Book Studio assembles the full-wrap file with front + spine + back and calculates spine width with the official KDP formula based on page count and paper type.
- Validation and export: Book Studio exports the interior PDF at 300 DPI (sRGB — KDP converts it to CMYK at print time) and the full-wrap cover PDF. You upload both directly to the KDP uploader.
