Nature of the product
EpigraphIA is a desktop application that runs locally on your computer. It does not collect your content (your works, images, projects or prompts), it does not use servers of our own, and it applies no telemetry. Your content remains on your machine.
Personal data collected
The Application itself does not collect personal data. The following data, associated with your purchase or your contact with us, may be collected outside the Application:
- Email address.
- Name (optional).
- Payment information (processed by a third party; we do not store your card details).
We do not collect sensitive personal data (biometric data, health data, ethnic origin, beliefs, etc.).
Purposes of processing
Primary purposes (necessary):
- Processing your purchase and validating your license.
- Providing you with support and responding to your requests.
- Complying with legal and accounting obligations.
Secondary purposes (you may object):
- Sending you notices about product updates.
If you do not want your data used for the secondary purposes, you may say so at any time by writing to legal@xbstudios.ca.
Transfers
Your data may be shared with: the payment processor (for the transaction) and the email service (for license notices). It is not shared with AI providers, advertisers or data brokers. It will only be handed over to authorities under a valid order.
ARCO rights (Access, Rectification, Cancellation, Objection)
You have the right to:
- Access: know what personal data we hold about you.
- Rectification: correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Cancellation: request that we delete your data (except where legal obligations require us to retain it).
- Objection: object to the use of your data for specific purposes.
How to exercise them:
- Send an email to legal@xbstudios.ca with the subject line "ARCO Request" ("Solicitud ARCO").
- Include your name, the email associated with your purchase, and the right you wish to exercise.
- We will verify your identity.
- We will respond within a maximum of 20 business days and, if the request is granted, give it effect within the following 15 business days, as provided by the LFPDPPP.
Note: as for your creative content, we cannot give you access to it or cancel it because we do not possess it: it lives on your computer.
Security measures
We apply the operating system's secure-storage encryption for sensitive data (such as API keys), TLS for data in transit to processors, and the principle of minimal data collection. No measure is 100% infallible.
Changes to this Notice
We may modify this Notice. If there are material changes, we will publish the updated version with its date and, where reasonable, announce it within the Application.
