Affiliate Program Terms — EpigraphIA

These Terms govern the EpigraphIA Affiliate Program, operated by Xolo Beaver Studios Inc. ("XBS", "we") through our Merchant of Record, Lemon Squeezy Inc. By submitting an application to participate and being approved, you accept these Terms together with the Terms of Service, the Acceptable Use Policy and the Trademarks Notice of EpigraphIA.

1. How it works in 30 seconds

• You apply to participate. We review manually and approve or not.
• Upon approval, you receive a unique personalized discount code (e.g. YOURNAME20) to share with your audience.
• When someone uses your code at Lemon Squeezy checkout, you earn 20% of the final price paid as commission.
• Lemon Squeezy accumulates your balance and pays it automatically when you exceed 50 USD.
• No cost to participate, no fees, no exclusivity commitments.

2. Eligibility

Any person of legal age in their jurisdiction may apply if they:

• Have a public platform (YouTube channel, TikTok, Instagram, blog, newsletter, podcast, literary social media accounts such as Bookstagram/BookTok, Discord/Facebook community, etc.).
• Have content related to at least one of these topics: self-publishing, Amazon KDP, creative writing, cover design, illustration, coloring books, author marketing.
• Comply with EpigraphIA's Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy.

There is no mandatory minimum of followers. We approve manually on a case-by-case basis assessing the relevance and recent activity of your platform.

Cannot participate: minors, persons or entities sanctioned by Canada or the United States, persons who have been previously removed from the program for non-compliance.

3. How you get approved

1. Application: submit the form on the /en/affiliates page with: name, email, main platform/channel, URL, approximate audience, niche, and a brief personal message.
2. Manual review: within 7 business days we will respond. We may ask for additional information (e.g. screenshots of private stats) if the channel is not easily verifiable.
3. Approval: if we approve, we send you: (a) your personalized discount code, (b) access to the Lemon Squeezy affiliate panel with your statistics, (c) brand kit (logos, screenshots, example texts).
4. Alternative: if we don't approve, we let you know with reason. You can reapply after 6 months if your channel changes substantially.

4. Commission and payments

4.1 Commission structure

• Percentage: 20% of the final price paid by the buyer (after discounts applied).
• Attribution window: commission is generated when the buyer enters your code at checkout. If the buyer uses another code (for example our XOLO30 or BEAVER30), your commission is not generated because Lemon Squeezy's system only allows one code per purchase.

4.2 Critical clarification about codes

Each purchase on Lemon Squeezy allows only one code at checkout. As a consequence:

• If the buyer enters your affiliate code (e.g. JUAN20): pays the regular price of $169 USD, you earn $33.80 commission.
• If the buyer enters our promotional code (XOLO30 or BEAVER30): pays $118, you do not earn commission — the discount was ours, not yours.
• If the buyer does not enter any code: pays $169, you do not earn commission (it was not your sale).

The ?aff=xxx link is only for marketing/analytics: it helps you measure traffic coming from your channels, but does not generate commission by itself. Commission requires your code to be applied at checkout.

Tip: in your content, always explicitly ask viewers to use your code when buying. Example phrase: "Use my code JUAN20 when buying and help me keep creating this content."

4.3 Payout

• Minimum payout threshold: 50 USD accumulated.
• Frequency: automatic payments on the first Friday of each month for balances that exceeded 50 USD at the end of the previous month.
• Method: Lemon Squeezy pays via PayPal, Wise, or bank transfer according to your preference configured in your affiliate panel.
• Taxes: you are responsible for reporting your commissions as income in your tax jurisdiction. Lemon Squeezy issues the annual report (1099 in US, T4A equivalent in Canada) as applicable.
• Refunds: if the buyer requests a refund within 14 days, the associated commission is automatically reversed from your pending balance.

5. Permitted and prohibited behaviors

5.1 IS permitted and welcome

• Create honest reviews, tutorials, unboxings, comparisons, threads, lists.
• Use your code in the description, bio, pinned comments, newsletter, community posts.
• Use the brand kit (logos, screenshots) according to the Brand Guidelines in Section 6.
• Create critical or negative content if that is your real experience — we don't require you to speak well of us.

5.2 NOT permitted (causes expulsion from the program)

• Spam: posting your code in forums, groups, third-party comments or unsolicited private messages.
• Fake traffic: artificial traffic via bots, click farms, fake paid traffic services.
• Brand bidding: bidding on Google Ads / Bing Ads / social media for keywords that include "EpigraphIA", "Xolo Beaver Studios", or obvious variants of our brands. You can bid on generic keywords ("best app for KDP") but not on our name.
• Self-referrals: using your own code for your own purchase.
• False authority: pretending to be an employee, official partner, or provider of EpigraphIA.
• Misleading content: promising false results, hiding that it is sponsored content in jurisdictions where the law requires it (US FTC, Canada Competition Bureau, UK ASA, etc.).
• Improper use of trademarks: using our logos with modified colors, on incompatible backgrounds, alongside content that damages the brand's reputation, or registering them as your own.
• Inappropriate content: promoting EpigraphIA alongside content that violates the Acceptable Use Policy (hate, illegal, for minors in inappropriate context, etc.).

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your participation for non-compliance, with or without prior notice. In serious cases of fraud we may withhold pending commissions.

6. Brand Guidelines (use of trademarks)

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to use the following EpigraphIA trademarks and materials for the sole purpose of promoting the product under these Terms:

• Brand name: "EpigraphIA" and "Xolo Beaver Studios" — use them as is, with correct capitalization. DO NOT use variants ("EpigraphAI", "Epigrafia", "XBS Studios", etc.).
• Logos: those you download from the affiliate kit — do not modify them (colors, proportions, typography).
• App screenshots: you can take your own screenshots or use those from the kit. Label modules correctly.
• Xolo and Beaver characters: they are trademarks (registration in progress) of XBS. You can refer to them by name but not create derivative art, merchandising or content that suggests a personal endorsement of the characters towards you.

Intellectual property: the trademarks "EpigraphIA", "Xolo Beaver Studios", "Xolo", "Beaver" and the logos are the exclusive property of Xolo Beaver Studios Inc. This license does not transfer any rights over the trademarks; it only allows you to use them while you are an active affiliate and comply with these Terms. Upon leaving the program (by your decision or ours), you will remove the trademarks from your active content (historical content, e.g. published videos, may remain but should not be edited to add new mentions).

Registration in progress: XBS maintains "common law" rights over these trademarks and plans to register them formally with CIPO (Canada) and USPTO (United States) during 2026-2027.

7. Duration and termination of the program

• Duration: indefinite. You can participate while you comply with these Terms.
• Voluntary exit: you can leave at any time by notifying hello@xbstudios.ca. Pending commissions from sales attributable to your code are paid according to the normal cycle.
• Termination by XBS: we may terminate your participation with or without cause, with reasonable notice. In case of termination for material breach (section 5.2), we may withhold pending commissions.
• Program closure: XBS may modify or close the affiliate program at any time with 30 days notice to active affiliates. Commissions accumulated up to the closing date are paid according to the normal cycle.

8. Confidentiality and non-endorsement

• Any non-public information you receive as an affiliate (product plans, roadmap, internal statistics) is confidential. Do not share it publicly without written authorization.
• Your participation in the program DOES NOT make you an employee, partner, agent or representative of XBS. You act as an independent contractor for legal and tax purposes.
• Do not make official statements on behalf of XBS. If a media outlet or client asks you something requiring an official response, refer them to legal@xbstudios.ca.

9. Legal compliance on your own

As an affiliate, you are responsible for complying with the laws of your jurisdiction, including:

• Sponsored content disclosure: FTC (US), Competition Bureau (Canada), ASA (UK), PROFECO (Mexico), Autocontrol (Spain), etc. In general: always clearly state that you earn commission if someone uses your code.
• Tax: report your commissions as income.
• Personal data: if you collect emails or data from your audience related to the promotion, comply with GDPR/CCPA/LFPDPPP as applicable.

XBS assumes no responsibility for legal or tax non-compliance by the affiliate.

10. Limitation of liability and governing law

• XBS does not guarantee minimum sales volume or traffic. Your results depend entirely on your effort.
• Our maximum liability to you is limited to commissions owed as of the date of the dispute.
• These Terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada. Disputes are resolved in Vancouver, BC, unless mandatory law of your jurisdiction provides otherwise.

11. Modifications

We may update these Terms with 15 days prior notice by email to active affiliates. If you continue participating after the effective date, you accept the new Terms. If you don't accept, you can leave the program without penalty and collect your accumulated commissions.

This document is a general reference and does not constitute legal advice. Its final wording should be reviewed by a lawyer in your jurisdiction before commercial publication. In case of any discrepancy between the English and Spanish versions, the Spanish version prevails.
